why was wes chatham breasting boobily all over the ship while prax was on board the roci if praxamos isn't real
jim holden/fred johnson truly is the dynamic of all time. like jim spends half of the story convinced fred is the machiavellian villain from under whose thumb he's trying to get out and the other half sure that fred is his obi-wan kenobi, and all throughout desperate for fred to call him a good boy for fred's approval and admiration and respect. meanwhile fred is like this is my pet young brash idiot whose relentless optimism i have a begrudging fondness for precisely because i have no choice but to be a cynic, sorry if he pisses on the carpet, he's not house trained. and obviously all of the ways in which they mirror each other, two earthers both taking up the cause of the belt with all of the narrative and ideological pitfalls that leaves us with, a military hero who won a medal of valor for a massacre against the belt and a dishonorable discharge who refused to fire on belters, fred who can never be loved by the belt in the way jim is, jim who straight up can't command the respect fred wields and soon learns he didn't want the authority that kind of regard brings with it, both self-designed atlases who simply need to carry the whole of the solar system on their backs, both legends and villains, heroes and outcasts in everyone's narratives! alongside camina/naomi, and obviously camina/fred but they have less screentime by virtue of both being secondary characters, and that web of the four of them together, they are where the show most often gets to shine, such solid characters and nuanced relationships and the some of strongest political writing in the show (though needless to say still flawed).
the thing is bobbie draper and camina drummer are both lesbians and you cannot convince me otherwise i can be obstinate the same way people are for their fave headcanoned white gay men literally nothing will dissuade me
